Case Study - Pan London SEND Commissioning Report

The problem: A clearer picture of SEND provision was needed across the area: where the gaps were, what was working, and what needed to change. The underlying data existed, but it was fragmented, and no coherent analysis had drawn it together to inform commissioning decisions.

What was done: Survey responses and contextual data were analysed across the area, identifying gaps in provision and producing concrete recommendations for improvement. One of those recommendations (an interactive mapping tool allowing commissioners to visualise provision geographically) was subsequently commissioned for development. That development phase involved integrating public datasets and producing detailed handover documentation, ensuring the tool could be updated independently.

The result: The analysis created a new project. A recommendation in a report became a live, commissioned tool. This is an outcome that reflects the value of analysis specific and credible enough to drive real decisions, not just inform them.
